# Do I need an International Driving Permit (IDP)?

This depends on the country where your license was issued, and the location where you are going to rent the motorbike. Usually, if your license is not written in the language of the country where you are planning to rent, then it's a good idea to assume you need an IDP.  Citizens of EU are not required to posses an IDP within the countries of the Union, but Non-EU license holders usually are. You should always make sure to research with your license country of issue about the legal requirements of driving abroad.
